Daryl Hannah Climbs Tree

Daryl Hannah has been causing a splash in a Los Angeles community garden over plans to sell its 14 acres of greenery for the building of factories and warehouses. The 45 year old scampered up a tree in a last ditch attempt to stop workers demolishing the site. £8.5 million is needed to save the plot, but so far supporters (including Willie Nelson, Danny Glover and Laura Dern) have only managed to scramble together £3.2 million. 100 police are currently on site trying desperately to oust green-fingered members of the public and vaguely familiar celebrities.

Oh Daryl. It must be like watching an albino gazelle trying to climb a tree, her legs, hooves and possibly an enormous flapping fish tail desperately competing for a foothold.
