Mira Sorvino Takes On Brangelina

Mira Sorvino, who played a prostitute in Mighty Aphrodite has just given birth to a baby boy. Luckily in this case life didn't imitate art and the boy has a father, Chris Backus, who also happens to be Sorvino's husband. This is the latest in a spate of Hollywood births which includes sprog popping from the likes of Jolie, Holmes, Spears and Shields.

This oscar winning actress made no attempt to save a small African country and gave birth to the 7lb 14oz baby in boring old Beverly Hills. Mira's dad, Paul Sorvino, who's still pregant, was thrilled with the news - particularily as his daughter's firstborn was, dissapointingly, a girl.

2 year old Mattea is said to stable but slightly jealous of the new arrival. Her parents must be so relieved that they've finally got the opportunity to name the son they've always wanted. Matt perhaps?
