Jemima Khan Accepts Hugh Grant's Ring

Hugh Grant and Jemima Khan are engaged, according to the Daily Mail. Apparently Hugh popped the question last Christmas, but they’ve been keeping it under wraps all this time. Yawn. A source close to the couple is quoted as saying “It was romantic, he went down on one knee”.

The mystery friend came forward to quash rumours that Grant was revisiting his better looking ex, Elizabeth Hurley. “Quite frankly, even they thought it would have got out by now. In fact the secrecy added to the romance of it all” the source chortled, thumbing through a fistful of five pound notes.

I wish it had remained a secret. Down on one knee? ... the exposé from a newspaper written by menopausal gardeners? I expect they’ll have a white wedding in Dorset, with fat, thirty-something bridesmaids and Cava on tap.
